Fresh Ginger Tea

This tea is extremely light and is as unprocessed as it gets. It warms you from the inside out and has been kind to my tummy.

Place 4 – 5 slices of peeled fresh ginger (more ginger = spicier ) into a small pot and add 2 cups of filtered water. Cook on medium for 10 minutes or so – tea will boil.

Squeeze one thick slice of lemon into the tea cup or mug. Pour ginger tea from pot through a strainer into the tea cup. You can add a drop of pure stevia or a drop of honey if you like it sweeter. Make sure it cools a bit before the first sip.

* Hot tip – I save the ginger from the strainer in the fridge and add it to smoothies later.
